Agencies definitely will let you know by releasing a huge PR piece the day before with headline “Impressive global expansion at [agency name] this year”
Oh I know.
Which agency is this?

Which company?
I mean nobody wants to put layoff news out there if they can help it.
If you’re asking if they’ll send an agency-wide email telling everyone that there have been layoffs, then no way, that will never happen. I agree that in an ideal world they should, but optically they tend to avoid it. Layoffs are always found out via “rumors” by word of mouth. Maybe you’ll hear it directly from manager if you have a good one but don’t expect your CEO to communicate that to you via email.
If you do get an all-staff email it usually comes in the way of the words “adjustments” “restructuring” and my all-time fav “necessary changes to better align to our clients needs”
