Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

Update. I turned down the job today
Counter at 135. Settle at 125
You are at 5 years of experience and you're going to let them low ball you at $115k? What are you doing, batman?
That’s the thing, I’m not sure I want to settle and feel I could keep searching for another year. The job has a lot of visibility and opportunity for advancement but would not help me grow in the short run as I’m coming in already knowing how to do everything they do.
I would be at this role/title for at least 2 years. Worth mentioning I’m also in my promo year at a Big 4 firm right now
Range quoted from friends has been all over 95-140. The average for this level/bank is 125 on Glassdoor.
That’s their final offer. When first asked about salary expectation they said their range was up to 120 in total comp, I hesitantly said 120 for base and already felt like settling. Can’t figure out if I expect too much based the market or they’re lowballing me. Also I’m at 5 years of experience.
Take it after one final try. Anyway assuming you moving to an industry job so it will offset the $/hour metric
What’s the career path there? Will you be stuck at manager for a while or can you expect to move up quickly
So it sounds like you are specialized and would become an immediate asset. Further, in a year your salary would increase to what their base offer is. You are being heavily low-balled. Don't do it imo.
OP: it depends on your priorities too! You need to ask why you wanted to move at the first place? If it’s just a monetary decision - don’t move. But if it’s for you wanted to leave consulting, work life balance, things not good at current job etc. , this is not that bad an offer
I don’t see myself in consulting long term, so I’m certainly planning to leave for the industry in the next 2 years. My dilemma is deciding whether this offer is good enough and on par with the market to leave now
It’s way low. Don’t take it.
Honestly do not take it..... hold off for another 2 years and enjoy the 40/hr week @$150k
It's not good enough. Source: I came from a similar role in a bank. You won't oversee teams or worksteams in that role. 5 years from now you'll still be an individual contributor. They'll pay a premium to get you there but the raise and bonus in the following years suck. Maybe just me but I didn't feel like having a career in that role.
Accenture 2. Doesn’t seem like they’re willing to pay a premium to get me there either :(
