Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

Good luck at rehab. Been there, done that. Now I go to Pax and Alive Again, sponsor, steps, not being a dick, not stealing from ppl. Coming up on a year and you can too, OP
If you have a dr involved saying you need time off for treatment it’s medical leave and should be protected. You don’t need to tell HR what the medical leave is for, but once u have a dr note they can take u thru what u r eligible for. Also you may be eligible for short term disability payments! Talk to ur dr!! Good luck 🙏
Don’t have any answers. But congrats on the big step. Wishing you the best
Quick google search says you have up to 12 weeks for rehab under FMLA.
“FMLA Eligibility
You’re eligible under the FMLA if –
You’ve worked for your employer at least 12 months.
If you have worked for a minimum of 1,250 hours over the past 12 months.
You’re employed at a site where the company employs 50 or more workers within 75 miles.
If you meet these criteria, you can’t be fired for going to rehab by simply taking an FMLA leave of absence.
Be sure to request an FMLA leave before you enter treatment. You can be fired for going to rehab if you don’t follow the formal FMLA process for requesting a leave of absence. If you enter a treatment facility first, then tell your employer afterward, you’re not protected under this law."
Good for you, wishing you the best. I know I wouldn't have anything if I didn't keep sobriety first. a job's a job, you can always get another one, take care of YOU. As they say, first things first. 🙏
No clue, but good for you for realizing that you need to take care of yourself first and foremost. Good luck!
Go on fmla. Get supporting documentation from your doctor. I've seen this work for someone before. I hope it does for you.
