Yes! My family definitely needs medical insurance along with eyes and dental insurance. One time I was offered a job that had such a small package in this area that I had to turn it down.

Medical insurance and benefits is a big thing. Although it keeps getting worse each year. I need insurance, and so do my kids, so if that's not even on the table or it's too expensive, I'll go take my resume elsewhere.

All those extras have a value. My family has rejected a job offer that looked great at first, but once we added the benefits, our current job was far superior.

like

Yes! I provide benefits for my family. Benefits play a huge part in my decision making process.

100% yes. Places not offering these benefits are definitely losing out on some great employees. Honestly I turned one down because they only offered 1 week of PTO.

If possible, get more details on medical plans and costs before accepting offer. Make sure your current doctors are covered. Definitely was a key factor when I accepted current role.

without question! If my future isn't invested in I have no reason to invest in a company.

Hello everyone!
I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:
On a work visa
Non-white
Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Do you all feel that the Health Insurance choice is actually all the same? The coverage is absolutely copy and paste for Bronze to Platinum and the deductible/copay is very similar.
I just don’t understand why we have the illusion of “choice” if the offer is the same and it is really bad (in our case).
Going from $61 per paycheck for 2.5k deductible 75% copay to $500+ per paycheck with 500 deductible 85% copay.
