Does anyone know of an organization that I can join that has international benefits information? I have tried IFEBP but they do not have information on Africa or India. I am looking to stay up to date on best practices in these countries.

Has anyone taken one of those online executive courses, like the Harvard Extension School offers? Looking to use my $5k of tuition reimbursement and already have an MBA. Worth it? Best programs?
Any ex-OW at McKinsey now? Was curious how you found the change in firm culture, work hours, overall stress level, comp/benefits, etc? Any regrets leaving?
Looking for some boutique firms (healthcare/public health sector) that do work relating to social determinants of health, community health centers, population health, community hospitals. Any suggestions?
Anyone had experience working on an account like the army or navy? Is it similar to healthcare where it’s hard to get out once you start?
Anyone been hired through Solomon page temp to perm? How does payment work? They’ve contacted me 3x about a role but I feel like I can’t swallow not having benefits unless I get offered full time. Also getting paid through them seems like it could be sketchy.
Feeling like my firm has a very outdated parental leave policy (and none of the women partners have children)! What is the parental leave policy at your firm? Please include: (1) size of firm; (2) location of firm (city, state); (3) how many paid weeks off from firm (not state/fed benefits); (4) other policies such as ramp up/down time, etc.
Has anyone ever had their luggage lost by LOT airlines? If so, were you able to get any reimbursement?
Anyone on here complete grad school through GSAP and go back to Deloitte and have any pro tips for how to do it right? (Max reimbursement, things to do before you leave, benefits, etc.)
I saw a Harvard? study circa 2013ish that said effectively “be most conservative when you retire and get more aggressive as you age”. But can’t find it now. Anyone seen this and know where to find it?
Deciding that next year (ideally before) is my cut off for leaving this job; whether it’s through a new career path, manual labor or just quitting without a backup plan. My mental health deserves better, sticking it out for one more year as I aim to to be vested in my 401K and save up for 6-9month emergencies. I feel insane for leaving consulting especially with only 1-2 YOE but it’s just not worth it anymore.
Does maxing out your 401k reduce your taxable income by that respective amount so that you can reduce your tax liability at the end of the year? Sorry if it’s obvious/dumb!
I get there is no such thing as optimal 401k contribution as it varies by person but is 20% too much for someone just starting out? No ROTH offered
Can you quit your job while on short term disability? Will you get penalized somehow? Going on maternity leave (which is just short term disability) and planning my options out.
Deloitters; is pension vesting tracked by your start date or a certain time of year? And is an all or nothing vest? I might be leavening barely a month from my 3 year vesting mark.
Has anyone made the jump from Healthcare Consulting into Cloud Healthcare (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)? Any tips/certifications you found helpful?
One of our older advisors is about to retire so his book will be split amongst us junior advisors. What can I do to pitch myself to him and to management to earn the bigger accounts?
I'm a benefits director at a large company, and we're adding a fertility benefit starting Jan 1. It looks a lot like Deloitte's program (just noticing Deloitte a lot in this bowl), though ours will be slightly more generous with lifetime maxes. I'd love your feedback about what your employers do especially well or poorly, just to ensure we don't have huge blindspots as we roll it out from scratch. Honest feedback from people who are on this journey is appreciated!!
Is it worth converting my Amex corporate card to platinum ? I travel almost every week and spend approx 1300.
Should I take a 15% pay cut and leave Accenture for industry? Or wait it out to find a better paying opportunity? Worried about chargeability and layoffs, hate the process of getting staffed. Wondering if it's worth it though for such a big drop.
Help! Finally got the industry job that I want and it means I will exit consulting. Will be going back in office 2 days a week, dress code is business casual. I’m using this as an excuse to refresh my work wardrobe and need some inspiration. Based in Chicago and in my 40s. Already follow Jean Wang, 9to5Chic, HeyNasreen. Any other suggestions? Stores, looks, influencers…all ideas welcome!
Do you think taking all of your leave (family, parental, sick, etc.) will impact your career progression? If so, how?
Should I convert my traditional 401K to Roth and pay all that money contributed so far on taxes? I know it’s better in the long run but curious what others have done
So I got an offer for a Consulting-Manager role for approx $150K. Is that a good deal? It looks ok when I check in Glassdoor and the likes, but just wanted to see what the group here says.
I moved to Canada aft not winning H1B. I recruited w some firms and went through final round. They said that they can sponsor me a visa, but i am not sure how they will take me. Is H1B the only option? If so, i am afraid that they wont be willing to wait till next year to hire me..
Working with a financial advisor who is trying to sell me on Indexed Universal Life Insurance (IUL) as an investment vehicle. Supposedly there’s no downside risk and 5-7% returns and it’s not taxed. It seems too good to be true and makes me raise an eyebrow. Wondering if anyone has any insights into this or if my advisor is taking me down a risky path.
Just negotiated a 35% salary bump and promo for my new job!!! Used to be too afraid to negotiate. Just sharing my news to motivate someone else and bc I’m just dang excited! 😬😩🤪
For the people claiming Joe Biden is “hiding”. Where do you expect him to go? He’s not going to go throw a rally because he’s not dumb enough to kill his own voters by spreading Covid and encouraging people not to social distance. Where else did you expect to see him, that you didn’t?
My career goal isn’t to make it to MBB or a unicorn or FAANG. It’s to feel fulfilled and challenged as I progress. I can’t be the only one that isn’t title or company chasing.
Guidehouse 🐠, what’s the salary range for a Senior Associate with the Business & IT Strategy group? Also, is a Senior Associate equal to a Deloitte SC?
Is 120k an acceptable salary for Dallas, Texas? I’m taking a pay cut to move there from San Francisco
I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.
Anyone interviewed with databricks for a Project Manager role? How has the experience been?
