When does HCL pay annual bonus? Which month?
Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

Congratulations on the raise but you should look for a new company
I’m not sure it probably depends on your total years of experience and size of the company...
Salary revisions within the same company even with a promotion are never impressive. My manager promotion came with a 3% raise.
I made 169k as a Sr Data Scientist in the Bay area so I don't think you are that far off. All the ridiculous TCs you see on here are majority RSU.
Quit ASAP and Leetcode
Or leetcode first while working and then quit after you actually find a job?
do leetcode + study system design + leave
The raise doesn't seem too bad but if you're not happy, definitely talk to other companies and see what they can offer you. there is nothing wrong with reaching higher and getting what you feel you are worth.
Do you know the fair salary with my level of experience in the Bay Area. In Glassdoor I see a variant from 148 - 198
I think that’s a fair raise for a promotion but still in an individual contributor capacity. 8% around 140k is a bigger deal than 8% at say 75k. Also, any bonus that’s given as a percent of salary also increases.
You 100% should prep and then start interviewing.
The market is really hot for job seekers in tech right now, and it’s going to stay that way. Pandemic problems + the looming web3 exodus...make a move in the next 6 months and you can definitely get yourself a 20-30% increase by jumping.

Generally, raises within the company, even with promotions are less than you will get by jumping to another company. You will have to decide if you are happy with your current job (and so will just stay put) or seek a higher salary elsewhere (especially now you have a better job title).
I 100% agree with this - the only way t get a substantial bump is by leaving, I don't think any company will be able to match that
I got a smaller increase when promoted because I was already at the top of my previous level payband. It happens.
At Glassdoor, the published guidance for promotions is an 8-10% raise.
Sheesh, what company?
but then do you get equity? startups often substitute options for cash… generally a raise would come with additional vesting potential.
8% is an AMAZIING raise. Across industries, raising the single largest cost line item by double digits is untenable. Expect raises to be 2-6% in line with inflation. If the raise is larger, it is either a promotion or level setting because you were grossly underpaid VS peers. Change companies if you are below market comp.
