Hello everyone! Nice to be here. I made a promise to myself, if I were laid off again, that I would pivot to a new career. I've been curious about interior design, room layouts and such. Can anyone offer suggestions of what I might learn to assist my knowledge in that field? My circle thinks I am crazy for "throwing away" all the technical know-how & certs that I have, but what good is it if I am not using those skills.

I got laid off by Deloitte back in June, and just got the questionnaire asking if I want to keep my pension or do lump sum ($14k). Any advice?

I was fired after I reported a partner for a serious (criminal) ethics violation. The firm covered it up. Are all companies like this in the end? I’ve lost my trust and don’t know how to start over.

Best backup plans if you get fired from a Big Law firm within a year or two after graduating? Go to a non-BL firm and then try to lateral back into BL?

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience.
