So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Most likely not. October is too late. Your pay increase is already backed in. And from what I am hearing engineers are gonna get shit raises this year anyway.
No, it rarely happen that way. You might have to wait till end of 2024 before you get any pay raise.
You should ask this in the Fidelity bowl for better info :-) I started in September at Fid and got a raise but not sure if October is too late. Folks in the fid bowl can answer this tho.
I joined in Sept a few years ago and did not get one at EOY. The following year I did get full bonus, shares, 10% raise and full profit sharing though. So if you don’t get anything, document all of your wins from October and use them in your performance discussion next year.
That's cutting it very close and doesn't leave much time for you to have proven yourself, so I wouldn't get your hopes up too much if I were you.
I don't think so. That's barely two months of work from them to go off of. I haven't seen anyone get a raise before working at a company for a year.
I wouldn't count on it. You won't be eligible for a raise for 12 months or at least that's how it works at most companies. Congratulations on the new job though.
What are some nice benefits of working at fidelity? I recently opened an investment account, but the customer service has been nice and fast, it’s one of the reasons I switched from vanguard

Most probably no, most of the companies have a cut off date, you need to be an active employee on that date to be eligible for the review/ appraisal cycle
October is like too late in the year.
