Hello,
I’m a lawyer turned UK compliance Manager in the property dev and property services sectors with prior UK banking experience. I’m seeking to change jobs right now and happy for any referral to a non-financial compliance Manager role out there. I’ve got lots of Data protection, AML, policy advice/management, regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement experiences. I’m a fast learner and a great team player. In my MLRO words, “I think outside the box and create solutions”.
Thanks.

Are you looking for a job in the UK I presume or are you open to relocating? That would be helpful information to know in order to refer you!

I’m curious. What would you say is the best industry / sector for…1. WLB, 2. Great people / team, 3. Exit opp’s., and 4. Overall (mix of the above). Goes without saying the obvious “it depends on office, team, project, client, etc.” So this is an ask for general observations.

I saw someone else do this, so imma give it a shot. Lately, I’ve been applying to iOS developer roles and I’m getting TONs of calls and callbacks from HR and recruiting managers, but then when my resume gets pushed to hiring managers they seem to often get peeved at how little years of experience I have with the title “iOS developer”…
which is fair, and to show my credibility I published my first app last week, but I’m still getting similar messages from recruiters this week. Idk what to do??

I do sales for a major engineering firm. Focused on new business and exploring new markets. Last year I was in the top 50% for order intake, and first in number of projects won along with number of new customers. I think this is extraordinary given the effort it takes to win new business.

For next year my goal increased by 2.5X, and less of what I bring in counts towards that target. I really enjoy my job but I will essentially be getting a large pay cut. Lost in what to do besides quit??

As realtors, our worst and best friend are the contractors, being friends with the contractor that remodelled a home you are going to sell is a plus because you can know for sure what kind of improvements were made to the house and why; and what kind of things are pending to be improved, that way you can provide real information to the client. You know what they say: a happy client always comes back to you.
