Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

I attended an interview and did assignment for Multimedia designer role 15 days ago fo BMC team at EY GDS, still not heard back, interview was positive and assignment is also good. HR's don't reply to email and don't pick calls, should I keep hope or forgot it? I'm just asking for feedback because I have put 6 hours hard work in to assignment.
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone

Your best bet is to plug in some of the bullet points from the job description into Chat GPT and ask it to explain it to you.
Based on the few things you listed, here's some basic info...
If a company is using a CDP (customer data platform) it's mostly to get data from one place to another without having to build custom pipelines. A data flow would be something like: the database > CDP > CRM platform or paid media platform. So Snowflake > mParticle > Braze. Or Databricks > Segment > Facebook. This is usually to get custom events and attributes to end platforms or to create audience segments in the CDP and syndicate them to paid media platforms for targeting. I would argue that CDPs are in their deathbed already and you should look up Reverse ETL. Might be a cool thing to throw in there. Hightouch is a good example.
A CMP collects all your user consents, often on web. OneTrust is an example. This allows you to fire pixels and collect 1P data based on proper legal consent collection. These consents are often used to layer on your 1P data inside your CDP (or wherever necessary) for marketing use cases.
There's a lot of identity solutions, so it kind of depends what they're looking for. LiveRamp is the most common onboarding platform that takes your 1P data, matches it to their identity spine, and spits out audience segments to use for targeting. They also have a lot of other offerings including a clean room solution. Other identity solutions you can look up are things like Neustar, Adstra, Merkle. Some companies send their data from their CDP into a platform like LiveRamp for Household level resolution or to connect with end platforms their CDP isn't partners with.
Clean rooms are used so 2 or more companies can combine their 1P data and do analysis while maintaining privacy and control of their data. Media based examples of these are Google ADH and Facebook Advanced Analytics. But a ton of companies offer these now. You can often make audience segments from the data and target users in paid media campaigns as long as both parties agree. At the very least, you gain a bunch of insights and use that in your strategy.
The top identity solution is Epsilon. Many can’t afford it though
What level is the role at? If you’re expected to be comfortable using these systems, then getting a last minute cram in to try and fake knowledge in them seems disingenuous. If it’s just an entry level role, then knowing what those TLA’s (three letter acronyms) stand for is probably sufficient.
Or someone looks at their search history after hire and shares with it with their boss. I saw a new guy get fired on the spot since he ded Google for everything and IT flagged it.
Look up a fellow named Chris Marriott
You forgot DAM, CRM, FPD, ZPD, DMP, DSP
If anyone willing to chat with me about these things, I’m down for that as well. Thanks!
I’ll DM you. Thanks!
What industry are you in now? Forewarning: marketing has a ton of annoying jargon. I’m in martech now and I think several of those are industry specific to the client or employer (e.g. e-commerce, consumer packaged goods, etc.)
Those don’t sound purely marketing related. ‘Data lakes’ is pretty standard, but the others I’m not familiar with.
DM me - I can tell you more about other terms
‘pompous tech-bro attitude’ 😂 😂 😂 oh how real of a thing that is
THANK YOU for the responses thus far. To provide context for those concerned…🙃
My background is in advertising. I started in media analytics at a media agency, moved over to consumer research at a creative agency, and now I’m potentially moving back to the media side. I left media during a time when DMPs were all the rage but people were annoyed at how bad the ID matching was. LiveRamp, Neustar where vendors I dealt with a lot AND sold into to clients. But I haven’t kept up with all the martech updates since then bc I have not had to. So I’m not a complete novice to the space, but so much seems to have evolved I almost feel like one.
Why my resume was picked among the many other applicants? I have my thoughts. But for sure my weakest area is wrapping my head around updates the martech space over the past few years.

I have a similar background as yours - places either see the breadth as an asset (can do more, different types of problems) or a liability (not enough depth in a single area). I’m guessing it’s the former if they’re continuing the conversation.
We (coming from a media agency) would only want to hire someone who quickly knew and understood these terms. I wouldn’t fake this one till you make this one.
