Accept boutique then wait for EY. I doubt the EY offer will be great (or timely)
If the EY offer ends up being mind blowing, renege on the boutique and accept the transfer
You’d burn bridges with the boutique in the latter situation but it gives you more flexibility

So basically less than an associate at A&M, much less a senior
If you like the team at the boutique. Take the offer
Thanks! It’s a tough call since I don’t have EY offer details. Also trying to decide which has better WLB, but also what’s better for my career in the long-term.
I would probably stick with EY and take on the new role with the current economic environment. It would not be great to start at a new company if you have no experience and are on the bench.
You will be worth more with a few months of experience at EY in their FDD group if things don’t work out in your new group. Also, if you leave EY in a few months you can just suggest a reason of leaving is more or less because of the uncertainty at EY
Thank you! The other group is ~3 years old, all ex big 4, claim to have better WLB bc they work on middle market clients.
Any advice is appreciated!
