Hey Accenture people. I'm looking for advice for entry level interviews. Have a friend going next week and was looking for advice to give them. Behavioral and case interviews. Thanks cheers

For behavioral: think of a few work experiences (3-5) and go through them a few times. You want to have a few good experiences you can share without stumbling; you want to focus on answering the question not trying to remember the story. They will ask you about "a time when you... were successful and how you were successful, you were faced with a problem and how you solved it..." etc etc. They are looking to hear about your thought process so don't feel you need to impress with a spectacular situation. Just know your stories, build an example using what you have and you'll do alright. Good luck!👍🏽🍀

Solve the case.

A lot online about the case, and depending which group, strategy cases are much tougher than MC or,Tech

Be yourself is the best advice. If they are a good fit then it should work out.

like

Be prepared to show how much you know about the firm and express solid interest specific to ACN. That's usually a difference maker from what I've seen (did first round interviews twice)

like

Don't f up the basic math and take too long to solve it either. Round up and down as needed.

like

Also remember your interviewer is probably a real person (especially on campus) they take time to volunteer to do this sort of thing and are not from HR so connect with them in that way. Have a few questions for them about the firm and their career / experiences.

like

Thanks y'all are fast!

U can get a great sample of behavioral off of Glassdoor. Think of 3-4 well throughout answers for different scenarios. How u solved a problem? How u resolved a conflict? How u handled a situation where somebody wasn't pulling their weight? Things like that

Having given these interviews. Behavioral is your basic stuff. Looking for poise, leadership, ability to work with people and overcome challenges.

Case ... is it strategy or other? Strategy is much harder... I've given quite a few and can provide pointers ..

Oh and know stuff about our company and what consulting actually means.

@A7- please share some pointers

We have a huge inclusion and diversity culture. Leadership has been making it a priority to lead I&D initiatives across the company.

PWC1....Op hasn't told me if it's a strategy case or MC/tech/ digital etc

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

Has anyone been told that the role they are interviewing for will start in Jan 2023?

Is this how it will always be? Or is this predominantly because I am in lower positions at this point in my career?

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. I don’t want to waste time (colleagues mentioned it doesn’t get much better from here). Do I embrace the suck or look for other opportunities?

Consultant here at a small boutique consulting firm (first job out of college, recently promoted from Analyst role). What’s the process like in terms of transitioning to a product manager role, preferably at a big tech company, without any prior experience? How much are certain factors weighed in the application process (networking, personal portfolio, CS background, undergrad GPA, etc.)? What should I be focusing on doing right now if I give myself 1 year to prepare?

Looking for advice fish fam. Deloitte vs EY-P. Same level - Manager/Director. EY-P pays $50k more for base and maybe $10 to $20k more as bonus. Currently at Deloitte. Would have left easily for an $80k bump. Wouldn’t leave for $30k or less. Don’t know what to do with $60k. Pulling my hair out here. HELP Please!!!
