At what age did you realize/decide not to have kids?

2 friends from college just stayed up with me for 4 hours to make last minute edits to my horrid Wharton essays. Admit or ding I’m grateful to have friends like this in my life.

I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I don't want to lose our friendship, but I also need to be able to talk honestly with someone who has the power to help me grow professionally. Is there a way to have both?

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Starting at PwC next year... newly married (Husband) with a kid on the way. How's life going to be with a newborn as a new associate? I'm older (30) and went back to school for my CPA if that matters.

So… 3.5 year relationship came crashing in Jan due to covid depression, work burn out, lockdown etc. We have stayed in contact and recently he has come around to apologizing and considering getting back together. However he also revealed he started seeing someone casually 4 weeks ago and technically is cheating on her by meeting me for coffee and to discuss this. I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

Does anyone have family members who constantly demand money because they feel like you’re rich now because you’re a lawyer? I’ve always wanted to be in a position to help my family but we all live in the high COL city so my salary doesn’t carry me as far as it would elsewhere. I’ve given a detailed summary of all of my expenses yet every month one family member in particular comes to me for rent money (not some, the full amount, and they refuse to get a job). It has become quite the burden.

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. In the past, lawyer wellness and lawyer discipline/character fitness for bar applicants have existed in silos. I’d like to finally form a bridge between lawyer disciple and lawyer wellness and focus on prevention. When we think of lawyer discipline, we automatically think of outrageous behavior like stealing money. Those are extreme. I need some guidance on this situation.

I sublease an apartment from a friend who is currently in Jail unfortunately. I wasn’t in the lease and the apartment found out from my personal check which I paid for the rent.

They refused the rent and after the three day notification has passed they refused the cashier’s check here in Orange County.

The apartment has put him up for eviction and I feel bad about this cos it was cost savings. Is there anything I can do to save this?
