I have pretty strong social phobia and am worried about making friends. I'm going to be working for an engineering company so I imagine I don't have to be really up on the latest trends or anything but how can I talk to people without making it sound unnatural?

How do I figure out spending with my SO? Initially I was paying for 90% of stuff (no actual bills, just going out). I talked to her and said we need to be more even. She was never proactive. She kind of got offended but we ended on a good note to split things. It went well for a couple weeks but now it's back to normal. She never takes out her card and only venmos me if I send her the request. She lets Venmos sit for weeks before paying them. I still let a lot of things slide.

Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.

I have used web quests, but I have found that the kids researching their choice of topics and creating Slides containing information and pics results in more students participating. With each passing year I am finding an ever shrinking population of students, including honors students, who actually read beyond what is posted in social media or video games. Students willingly volunteer that they do not read and most parents see it as a non-issue. I tell my students that the best readers are usually the best writers. What are some strategies that you use beyond reading logs ?

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools.
