Hey I recently graduated from my undergrad and I am getting the salesforce admin certification and looking for entry level positions at salesforce consulting firms. I do not have technical skills but am willing to learn the developer side but I am more so trying to go into management further along the line but learn CRM as a start. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to look for these types of jobs?

A cert is a great start, however, what you’ll find is extreme difficulty in finding a job without hands on experience. Kind of a catch 22 situation, but Salesforce and related organizations have some great programs to link up with that you provide volunteer Salesforce administration work in order to get that hands on experience.

Also, create your own personal DevOrg and start doing work inside it to use as a living portfolio.

As for management, one thing at a time. You’re straight out of school, you don’t know what you don’t know yet.

Go on salesforce jobs and type in “futureforce” or “new grad” to find jobs targeted for folks just out of college. Get a referral or try to connect with a recruiter too.

This was how I got my foot in the door after college with no salesforce experience or certifications. I did go through a new grad program at a smaller partner firm though not salesforce! So deff see if any of the partner firms have anything similar available too!

I think it could be! I did reach out to folks within my college network at places I wanted to work so that it wasn’t totally random, but definitely have an idea of what you want to get out of it and have relevant questions to ask. I actually found out about the program I went through from a neighbor so you never know

Move to India for 5 years. Most consulting companies in the US are just temp agencies doing order fullfillment that wants cheep relocation every 6 months. If you want career progression you will not get it in the US.
Also most management roles are just glorified sales roles in consulting, so get sales experience & then pivot.

Hi guys, I joined care ratings about 5 months back. However I had been asked to move from Research to ratings due to high work load.
However now the company is asking me to move back to research. It has been 5 months and I have been trying to adapt to this company. I feel like quitting this job already. It is frustrating. Any recommendations??

If you make it to senior manager at big four can you leave and become partner or director at mid size firm? Is this hard to do? I know there is a lot of politics at big four and have no interest staying in a senior manager role for 6-8 years and risk a chance of still not becoming partner. Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.

PwC Is there a way to bypass the promotion policy of not being able to apply for jobs in 2 or more levels above your current level? Especially, if one joined the company at lowest level with over 8 years experience? Reason was, I took a career break for 6 years and to maximise my chance of getting back into the industry, I applied for a role I was almost guaranteed to get. I had hoped it would be easy to rise in ACN but was met with "you can't be promoted 2 levels above", cont'd in comments
