Hey! I’m planning a mother-daughter trip to Puerto Rico. Looking for hotel recommendations and places to visit. Is 4 or 5 nights enough? Plan to fly out of NYC. TIA!

Check out the Bahía Bioluminiscente. Completely worth it and something you don't see in many places! I did it with my Mom & sister and it was a bit scary because you have to meet up around midnight and my Mom could't kayak but the folks were very nice, friendly, helpful; and we felt safe. It something I always reccomend when people go to Puerto Rico.

This is a must!

My husband and I loved the Casablanca Hotel in SJ. No pool, but lovely, local, and relatively affordable

4-5 nights is sufficient. PR is small. Check weather in advance. I stayed at the Ritz, which wasn’t that expensive a few years ago and was located on the strip where all the hotels are, across the airport. I’d recommend somewhere there? Also heard of some nice small boutique or Airbnb type places in old San Juan. Enjoy!

The ritz in isla verde is nice - the beach is also decent.
There’s more to do in the condado area, but the beach is not great.
The ritz in dorado is pretty spectacular

Make sure you visit playa buye, Cabo rojo beach

PR is one of our favorite mother-daughter destinations! We like to stay at Caribe Hilton. Barrachina and Bistro Cafe (brunch) are good places to eat. Balneario Condado and Viejo San Juan are great areas to check out. Explore and have a great time!

like

Do not stay in any of the Marriotts . Not going to make the PR experience better. Consider local establishments

Thanks for all the suggestions! Anyone rent a car in PR? We would like to visit El Yunque national forest and it looks like we need a car to get there.

If you feel you need a car ONLY for going to the forest then you could consider some of the taxis. We had a driver drop us and pick us up when the tour was done. Just ensure whoever you choose has the necessary permits to enter the forest and drop you where you need to go.

Any recommendations for a quick weekend ski trip? Possibly something 2-3 hours away? I have a car, so that’s not a problem.

Just checked in to a room at the Ritz. I found room service dinner, opened toiletries in the bathroom, and the bedding stripped. This seems like a major security issue.

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

Hey all! Need a couple book recs for an upcoming beach trip.

Looking for a great non-fiction, relating to travel or world history (not just one moment in time). Could also be about the marketing world or memoirs of a business leader kinda thing.

Fiction wise I also like fantasy, paranormal, and romance. Some fave book series are the Black Gryphon from Mercedes Lackey, Game of Thrones, and From Jamaica Lane series. Similar books?
