Hello fellow Fishes I have an offer from persistent. Need some clarity on same. I want to know the grade system in persistent. What does 7.1 mean? Is 7.1 a right fit for an total experience of 10+ years? What is the appropriate CTC for an architect designation? I want to know if I am getting it as per experience.

Ask for a 30% hike on base, I doubt they will do that.
If not consider getting a good amount of stocks to compensate.
About layoffs, yes annually Cisco layoffs employees. Sometimes twice a year.
If a specific BU is doing good then no need to worry.
I agree with above. For stocks, at least 25000 USD for G11 with 30+ percent in base.
What is your current salary?
For 15 years, you should ask for G11/12 grade.
CCTC 39 fix + 6 variable, no stock what can I expect?
Cisco is not biased and they offer according to the level.
For G11 definitely you can ask for a 45+ base which doesn't include Insurance, Employer PF contribution and Variable.
Do some research on the leetcode compensation discussion forum and other sites like Glassdoor and Ambition Box for pay range.
Please don't fall for the HR tactics.
Get a good amount of stocks as well.
