Hi all! I work for a private practice that does not have HR. We have a company called Paychex that does have an HR but that didn’t work. My manger is unprofessional and she is always yelling at the boss. Swearing (I kid you not) and just unprofessional to patients and staff. Our HR goes through the manger/boss (Who has no backbone) who can I contact? DHS? BBB? DLT? I need help. She states she has ‘dirt’ on the office. She once sued her last practice and won (supposedly) due to wrongful firing.

Start documenting everything or use a code for different themes of behavior for example…-1=swearing,
2= unprofessionalism 3. Yelling- 4=?
tally up each day and put the date. Document, document, document. When you believe you have enough documentation, call ? (Not sure)

Found this - American Association Medical Assistants. It might help. Good Luck and thank you for wanting to the the right thing.

Get out of there! Respectfully. It’s called working in peace. This is why I choose to only work remote now. I don’t have time for the office hoopla anymore.

I would just have a private meeting with her boss. Most likely they will side with you because it already sounds like there are issues. They might give you some insight on why they tolerate it or best case scenario it forces them to deal with the problem since it is effecting the staff in the office. Stress that it’s affecting your job performance. Say it makes you uncomfortable, you’re worried you will do something unintentional to set her off. Come with examples of actual situations not just blanket statements. If that doesn’t resolve it find another job. I’ve found working for large corporations not only have more job security but also large HR departments and lengthy chain of commands that usually eliminate these types of issues pretty quickly.

BBB only looks out for their member paid clients. No help for people who have bern wronged

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

Deadass the woman will not rest until I am tied down. Pray for me!

What you should do when dealing with a very toxic worker that keep on sending passive aggressive messages to you as well as in group chat and email.
Things like when you answer his question he respond: I know that
Or when he keeps on saying my change requests were just minor in group meeting but actually not.
And keep on saying how hard he works when he clearly wasn’t and already underperformed compared to an intern level.

How to not let this toxic co-worker not poison me any further?

Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Boss: I need you to stop challenging me on every decision.

Me: I don’t want us to have a confrontational relationship and I think we can agree something needs to change. When you make stupid decisions, that affects my business and it makes me feel like you’re not up to the job. That makes it harder for my team to do our jobs. I think to be an authentic leader I need to be radically candid with you and point our your mistakes. So are you willing to work with me on this?
