I had interviewed with Deloitte UK consulting in June/July and was called by the HR team by the end of July that the interviews were positive and they're sending for approval for an offer to be rolled out. I was called back later in September and told that the role is on hold due to a hiring freeze. Is anyone else in this situation and have you'll heard back from the HR team post that
I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.

In short term it is quite difficult as all Big4s are doing layoffs. And honestly MBA from Indian B-schools hold little value.
Focus on the tangible outcomes and skill sets from your previous experience.
I doubt that IIM’s brand value will land you a job. It is purely your skillset and experience which will help in a very very tough market. Internal transfers are the best options, but since a lot of job loss is been seen in past months I doubt that it can be done. Probably it can, if you ace in India and company doesn’t want you to exit. But, getting a new job will honestly be quite difficult. Please don’t get discouraged though. Make a move and try hard, you’ll get something but allow yourself 6 to 9 months to get the job you would want for yourself.
