I am very new to devops domain like only 6 month of theoretical knowledge and i got offer pf a tech lead role in a company so will i be able to survive ? Will this 6 month knowledge with less hand-on is sufficient to survive or should i choose lesser profile first and try to learn and then try for higher role as tech lead? In Germany, while there are some schools that are better known than others, the concept of „target schools“ is far weaker than in the US. I have so many colleagues that graduated from what would be the equivalent of community college- very small business schools or universities that I have never heard of before. It really doesn’t matter that much here and this is pretty much the same for all firms. It’s more important what you bring to the table personally than what name your university has 😊
Sounds lovely, however, academic performance is one of your three main parameters in letting people pass for further assessments.
Thus pretending a 1.X grade from a random applied science university to be equivalent to a leading full fledged university seems unrealistic to me. Especially when most of your employees are from such universities.
Just go to work and don’t bother with a PhD in computer science if you already have a masters and are good at your job just go get experience.
