I just offered an intern a full time position as an account coordinator with a starting salary of $50k. They have only been an intern for 2 months and have no prior experience. They acted like $50k was a huge slap in the face. Am I crazy for thinking $50k is reasonable for entry level in Toronto? What kind of comp can you expect exiting into an corporate Strategy and Ops role after 3 years post-undergrad at a top tier consulting firm? I know it’ll vary across geography and company size, but it seems like around $180-200k for all-in comp (base/bonus/equity) is reasonable for a mid-size private company in CA. Or am I off my rocker?
