I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Looking to compare timelines and comps at the following levels:
OW - Principal >> Partner
ACN - SM >> MD
Thank you 🙏
Partner at OW can make tons if you sell tons. Less seniority-driven than most, and therefore also more variable. So higher highs than most, but not an escalator.
MBB average is probably higher - though also because MBB would exit partners if they don’t keep growing quickly, while OW if you have a bad year or two, your comp comes down but you’re still doing fine.
Partner incentives are certainly geared to margin. They do not reward low-margin sales. And you could argue over what costs get included in margin.
But the partner comp system also has a significant component tied to objectives. And in various ways, both the objectives based and margin based components of comp are structured in a way that rewards effective collaboration too.
Thanks C1 but it does. Any specifics to contribute?
It depends…
P1 - mind if I DM? Thanks.
