The company has a lot of turnover and employees overall have shared their distaste with benefits (they track attendance in the office, pto isn’t that great, they don’t offer many on-site benefits) and work/life balance. Hey folks, I work in marketing and program management and, along with everyone else, the recession is hitting me hard financially. When I try to find companies that pay well, they’re all in tech… but all those companies are laying off, freezing and rescinding offers (had one rescinded myself) 😕 so my question to all of you - what industries/sectors are still in demand for marketers/program managers right now that actually pay well?

Anyone out there have advice on finding the right position for you? A job can sound one way on paper, but you don’t know what the worst day in that role will feel like. Additionally, how would you go about finding more hidden/obscure titles that could possibly be the best match?

Recently, i was "promoted" or, I should say, my title was changed to the next ring up the ladder. As a part of this, I went from reporting to Senior Management, to Junior Management. The Jr. Manager has good intentions, but, is not helpful. I've worked at the company longer, have accomplished more across multiple lines of business and have a much stronger internal network. Am I overreacting thinking this is a major slight that will ultimately slow down my growth within the company?

My average tenure at a company is ~1.5 years (with ~11 YOE), but each jump I've made has yielded progressive/tangible career growth.
