Hi Fishies, what’s your salary at BNY and level? Do you think it’s fair? As I read some reviews, it said BNY is in the lower 20% in NYC in term of salaries. Not sure how’s it in other locations?

Also, how about the bonus at BNY Mellon Corporation Are they merit based or what metrics do they use to determine it (or at manager discretion?) Usually, what % is it of your based salary?

1: EY - FDD, home city, very good $$ for FDD

2: PwC - post-merger integration, DDV team (essentially M&A Consulting) - bigger city, always been keen to move

Coming as a Senior in Audit, with recent FDD exposure (2 deals, obviously not much). I was looking for something more than just number crunching, wanting a mix of quant / quali / strategic work. M&A Advisory or a Corp Strategy role is where I'm looking to end up long term.

Hi SpEd Teachers, is anyone else facing EXTREME staff shortages as a result of state funding? We are not able to meet my students' IEP requirements (not even close) due to not enough paraprofessionals and the district flat out refusing to hire more. I've lost 70+ hrs/week of para hours over the past few years and my students are really suffering. This leaves our district open to lawsuits, but the real problem is the state's education budget. What can we do?? This isn't going to fix itself.

Had my annual review Friday (first year with the company). Boss awarded a 3% raise though she said my review was “90% positive.” Worth adding I got a 3% sign on bonus last year, so I’m basically at 0% raise. Nobody under me has gotten less than a 7% raise in the past year. Considering promotions + counter offers as well, it goes as high as 25%. I don’t feel a 3% raise matches a “90% positive” review and plan to bring up the cognitive dissonance I’m feeling. Any other tips or advice to add?

I was hired on with a company at the same time as my male coworker. We work the exact position, different projects.
I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in the field, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review because it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

Had an interview today, for RN OnCall position. This is an extremely difficult position, but I bring not only a preference to work the hours they need but the experience and credentials to qualify for the upper range of the salary (RN, MSN, CHPN, 5 years hospice experience). Business Analyst (Internal Hire) working in freight technology knowing I am incredibly underpaid.

I’m in my 2nd month as an internal hire (formerly a Pricing Analyst). I did negotiate for a higher salary when I made the transition receiving nothing but the promise of a conversation to reevaluate in three months.

I’m in the latter and wondering if there are any maneuvers that are different I should be doing.
