Looking for advice - I doubled my scope in the last few months, and have been seeking a promotion and raise to match my increased scope. The company is offering me a title increase with no change in comp until the next cycle (Feb ‘23), and a 1 year cash retention bonus (stay for a year or have to give it back). My concerns are that if I sign the retention bonus, the company no longer has an incentive to give me a good raise in February,l. Thoughts?

Are there any fundamental differences between a salary negotiation during the start (applying for the job) vs. Salary negotiation during a performance review (you’ve been employed for x time and looking for a raise). My base is being bumped from 110 to 125, and OTE for another 50 up from 35 CAD.

I personally know a few SDR managers that make more. Am I being lowballed? I don’t want to come off as sounding ungrateful for the promotion.

Accepted job offer with higher salary, but after cost of living adjustment it’s turning out to not be a raise…struggling with this now. How bad would it be to rescind my acceptance?

Had my annual review Friday (first year with the company). Boss awarded a 3% raise though she said my review was “90% positive.” Worth adding I got a 3% sign on bonus last year, so I’m basically at 0% raise. Nobody under me has gotten less than a 7% raise in the past year. Considering promotions + counter offers as well, it goes as high as 25%. I don’t feel a 3% raise matches a “90% positive” review and plan to bring up the cognitive dissonance I’m feeling. Any other tips or advice to add?

If an upward market correction in salary happens in the upcoming appraisal, can it play negatively for someone who just got promoted in June 2021, considering that they recently received a promotion hike of around 20%?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. I'm working in CITi project since 17 months, premapped ro project so, not a single I was in bench til now. In this January they retained me with 70% hike :).
YOE - 5.6 years
Skills Set :- Java, Springboot, Microservices, SQL.

What all benefits I can get from LTi in next 6 months or so ?

I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?
