How much time does it normally take between getting an interview request and the interview itself?
I'd love to hear about what people are doing to stand out in providing feedback for candidates who made it to the final interview stage but did not make the offer.
What happen if I sign an offer and then break it? Is there any legal consequence? I have an offer from a t2 but I am interviewing for mbb and another t2. Will I be blacklisted from the global offices? (It doesn’t seem like I can tell the ta team and ask them to wait for a month for me to make a decision)
I interviewed with an ECD mid-last week and immediately after got some bad news that completely derailed the rest of my week. Because of that, I never even thought about sending a thank you email, but I’m now realizing that probably looks bad. Any tips on how to deal with this?
Anyone here know anything or someone who works at TCS (Tata Consulting Services)? Have an informational interview with them and don’t know anyone who has worked with them before
I'm in talks with PwC India for potential offer for Advisory Tech Consulting in banking domain & I'm holding another offer from a Fortune 100 Insurance, Banking & Finances company, but doesn't have the 'Brand Value' in India. PwC India is offering the location Kolkata & other offer is from Pune(my preferred location). Keeping in mind the recent political events(I interviewed at PwC before election results) looking for suggestions from you 🐟es, which one would y'all go for? Brand or Location?
Say there are two candidates, Candidate A has a 6/10 resume and candidate B has a 9/10 resume. If Candidate A has a referral at MBB, are they more likely to get an interview than candidate B? Or will they be about the same?
Anyone has recent experience about visa processing timelines, particularly H1b from interview to passport in hand?
I’m in California and I had a new job opportunity come up. I’m interviewing next week. As you know, marijuana is legal in CA. How often do private firms drug test? Is there a way to tell if they do?
What are your success stories about succession planning? I was hired as a lateral to work on/help sustain a retiring partner's book of business. During my interview in 2017, he said his target retirement would be 2019-2021. Now, after a good 2020 (for our practice area), he mused that he might not retire until 2025. I don't want him to feel pushed out, and have a lot to learn from him, but I do want to help/plan handoff of work. Interested in guidance for how to have these conversations!
Just started at big4 as experienced hire, team cannot train me because no one has experience with the client due to scheduling issues, and industry is exactly the opposite of what I was told I’d be gaining exposure to in my interview (the only reason I accepted this offer). Can I request a switch? I have never regret accepting an offer more to be honest.
Thoughts on asking about DEI in the firm and/or practice during an interview? Wondering about the make up of the team since I'm interviewing for a niche practice.
How long does EY typically take to get back to external FDD recruits? They reached out to me a few weeks ago and I agreed to interview. Had my interviews 3 days ago and haven’t heard from anyone. I currently have FDD offers from two other firms, so considering just going ahead and taking one of those.
The “Sunday Scaries” seem to b in full-effect 4 me right now. I like the firm I work 4 but I’m underpaid by at least $40k. I’ve been casually interviewing elsewhere the past few months but haven’t received any offers. I’m leading a team @ work of colleagues who’re more senior than me & having trouble seeing/understanding the next steps I should take. The “not knowing what to do next” makes me feel far less confident in my abilities & that I wouldn’t be able to “cut it” at another firm.
What are some good questions to ask in an interview to determine the financial strength of an agency? It’s an independent agency without any public financial information.
Got to final round at McKinsey in January this year, didn't get an offer but got added to the Keep in Touch list, and the recruiter said I got good feedback but to wait a year before applying again. I started at Deloitte in October; if I decide to go for McKinsey again, is it weird to reach out again in January next year (having only worked for a few months at my current job), or should I go for it?
I finished all the interview rounds at a company and the recruiter asked for references. Do they mean to make an offer?
Compensation for a Series C Biz ops lead and Series C S&O lead with 5 YOE? Looking at some roles but hoping to wrap head around TC first. TIA!
List on companies that hire remote workers: Not 100% of their roles are remote, but they have a whole bunch of options across the spectrum divisions.
Hi, does one need to know how to swim to do scuba diving? I can float and swim on shallow side but not in deep end but I really want to get a beginners diving certification. Please advice
it feels like every survey about working from home is (poorly) designed to answer the useless question "would you rather work from home or from the office." I submit that the set of people who prefers to have only one of those two options, always and forever, is the null set. which means it DOES NOT MATTER because the correct answer is always going to be "make both possible." you're welcome, HR departments everywhere.
My Cornell Johnson’s portal changed to “schedule interview”. How long does it take for them to send me an email to actually schedule it?
Accenture people, what is our automatic status level with Hilton? I normally stay at Starwoods, but booking at a Hilton for next week.
Just started the interview process for a startup with a couple dozen employees to be their lead product manager. How would you approach equity vs. base comp split? Current TC is $250k so worried about taking a short term hit for long term gains.
@DTW All gates holding off on boarding due to "some security issue". Anyone else around the airport know what the issue is?
How do consultants incorporate %’s into resume when you’ve worked on 6481538474 engagements? (All my current bullet points are generalized)
Anyone know anything about C-4 Analytics (Chicago specifically, but happen to hear from Boston peeps) Good clients, good work, good culture? I know they are less advertising but ...shot in the dark.
I'm not great at minding the details, sometimes. My new years resolution is to become more detail oriented. Any tips on how to accomplish this?

Just received cousin's invite to her wedding and it's on a Sunday. It's not necessarily a destination wedding but is in a city that neither she nor her family, nor her partner's family lives, so everybody has to fly + get hotels. I'm annoyed because I think it's a but disrespectful to your guests to make them all travel and do it on a Sunday so people have to take time off work Monday in order to attend. I know I don't have to attend, but shouldn't it be convenient for guests?
Surprise bonus 🙈🙉🍷🙃😃Do I write a thank you note to the director / Partner who I know put in a good word ❗️❕❗️❕❓❔❕❓❓
