I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?

I work 2 part-time jobs. I just requested a pay raise at my ABA job which they approved on by 10%. My other job is in Mental Health has a flat rate with no chance to request a raise, turns out I'm not required to work the full 20hrs/Week meaning that when there's no work to complete I won't be getting paid. I've only been here 8months & want to leave as I need the money. Should I start looking elsewhere even if I haven't been here for a year?

If you asked to be considered for early promotion and didn’t get it (despite being highly rated, exceeding billable goal, etc) would you look elsewhere? Is it right to be angry about it? I don’t want to spin myself up unnecessarily if it’s unjustified

CTR, contracts and department overhaul

our marketing dept is undergoing a complete overhaul. under old leadership, a $75k 12-mo contract was signed to a marketing group that handles our SEO, blog and everything Google Ads. All things I can and am in training to do. Current CTRs on G ads seem pitiful at no more than 0.75%. My meta ads coast around 4-6%. During this overhaul, would it be wise to not renew our contract, and negotiate for me to take over these roles and leverage a raise?

I’m currently in the process of accepting a promotion and have a say on the title. I’m moving up from an Enterprise Account Executive/Manager to a KEY Account Executive/Manager. Which one do you think pulls more weight and is more desired/interchangeable in the world of sales and my future career? (Yes I know they’re practically the same thing but I’m a very technical person and title means a lot to me lol)

I am a personal injury attorney making 79k with ability to keep 40% of anything I settle, bonuses for originating work for the firm. I am 1.5 years into practicing as a Plaintiffs PI attorney - I have a review coming up - suggestions on what I should ask for as a raise. Just got an offer from PwC for 47.5K for SA role in Manchester. Feels kinda low considering everyone just got a 7%+ pay raise. Can anyone comment if this is in line or not? I was told this would put me above the SA band

Does getting snapshot at partially next level in 4 perimeter and next level in 1 perimeter will be enough to get promotion? I have received similar kind of 5 snapshot. ( some cases next grade in 2 perimeter)

Im interviewing for an internal promotion at my current employer. I’ve previously expressed a lot of interest in this specific role and it’s well known throughout my division my interest. Even though I’ve conducted informational interviews before now to get a feel of the role, now that I’m going through the full interview process, it doesn’t seem like what I want to do any more. I’m considering withdrawing my application, but I’m afraid of the optics and future career at this company. Thoughts?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. I am an Senior iOS developer. YOE is 8.5. Currently getting 13 LPA. Getting promotion in a month with 25 to 30 percent hike which comes nearly 16.8 LPA. I cannot able to relocate now due to family dependency reasons. I heard iOS developer salary market is good. I am having a very good work life balance in the current company. I am in a confusion. My joining date mentioned in IBM Offer letter which I received just a while ago is second week of November, 2021. However, I have 90 days notice period. It also says to accept within 3 days and a clause is written that joining date can be revised only till 5 days. Will ibm revise my joining date ? I am very anxious it's too late so I cant even call recruiter.

How is my tax calculated, will IBM ask for my prev. comp Form16? (or my ctc is prorated for Dec,Jan,Feb,Mar)

Do IBM decrease the notice period to 30 days for such employees?
