Hi — I recently applied for a Business Analyst (BA) role at Amazon based out of San Diego. I currently reside in the DMV area, and would be relocating.

They’d like to move forward, and have requested my total compensation (base pay, sign on payment, and RSU's) expectation for the new role.

I meet the requirements (3+ years of PMO and SQL experience). Also, I have 3+ of BA and Testing experience (some tasks overlapped).

Can someone recommend an appropriate total comp for this role?

I’m 18 yrs of exp, working at Ford in a cloud architect role with a salary of 31lpa (26 fixed + 5 variable). I’m getting offer from Bank of America with fixed ctc of 41lpa for avp designation. I will lose the variable pay from Ford if join bofa in next 60 days. Pl advice if this a good offer considering market situation or should I negotiate @bankofamerica

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

How hard is it to get a job at salesforce? How difficult are the technical interviews?

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. Gen questions for consultants who moved to MM PE, how is the work culture (cutthroat, competitive), stress (insane at closings), & ability to “unplug” on vaca/wknds at your firm?

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
