Is S&P planning to open offices?
Anyone else moon lighting here ?
Curious to know if you've legitimately declared it to your core job peers and if yes how are you balancing ?
What I know is if i can be a manager at a regular office and yet have my own start up venture(s) on various other skills, it shouldn't ideally conflict but some HR do poke in between

You're not a failure! It sounds like you are doing the best you can, it's just the job market is so fierce right now. When one position has hundreds of candidates and apps, it's tough to set yourself apart. You'll get there, I know it's frustrating as hell, but you can't give up. Each one you don't get just leads you closer to the position you are meant to get. Good luck. I wish I had more you could do.
Some ideas: 1. when you first get in touch with the hiring manager, ask them if the position is open for internal candidates, if yes, ask specifically what they are looking from when sourcing external candidates. 2. as for the feedback, ask them after the interview. 3. it's ok to fall, that's how we learned to stand up and walk and finally get us to places.
If you were in direct competition with an internal candidate, then you shouldn't over analyze. Being a competition with someone from inside the company give the other candidate an immeasurable advantage. The match up was just not fair, nothing you could about it
Hey please message me I have something that might interest you.
Hi! I’m not sure how to direct message here. I don’t see an option for that
Sometimes we may not be the right fit. I can tell you for the longest I had my resume up on indeed and I would apply to so many different positions and I would never hear back from anything. I was to say in the last few months of looking for another position my resume has been on fire after I made a few tweaks. I’m back in school earning my bachelors, and immediately after I will go into my masters. Look at the positions that you’re applying to and see if there are any skills that you’re lacking. Sometimes when they promote within it simply because the company may not want to take the time to acclimate someone into the position. Stay positive, what’s meant for you will not pass you.
First of all, you are NOT a failure, why dont you think of it as they dont deserve you so your value is hidden from them for a reason and the right opportunity might miss u if you worked with them. Second of all, yes its a stupid tough market so just apply and learn as much as you can. Good luck!
Don't be too hard on yourself! You made it to the final stages which means you're doing something right. Sometimes internal candidates just have that edge, but it doesn't diminish your worth or abilities.
I’ve heard from others internal candidates being hired over externals are common. Businesses should do an internal search first before posting their openings on job boards but IDK why they don’t. But this means it wasn’t your fault! Keep doing what you’re doing and try to get a referral for your next application. That will give you an edge over candidates who don’t have one
happened to me before. and this one company I was the internal candidate and I beat out the external candidate luckily. they did this to keep it fair but i as the internal candidate had been doing the work for 2 months. later i came to find out if they really like you, they will make you apply thru the job board but they can advertise that it's for internal candidates only. i never got that respect. sucks
