Hi members - moving out of stat audit. Which roles looks more aligned with strategic business decision making for future: a) Internal Audit within Fund accounting/ Secretarial business with scope for data analytics in it or b) FP&A within airline industry or c) Financial accounting with a bit of FP&A within investment company.

I understand these are varied roles but I want to understand which one is most suited to growth into strategic decisions making within industry.

Is working in VC Ops for a T10 Series A fund a good opportunity? This would be an internship preMba. I’m making a career shift as a vet and looking to land a VC investor role post b school (ideally HS) Anecdotally I understand seed and series A VC is very network based so this would be a chance to meet great folks, but ultimately not the investing experience I’m hoping for. Other internship options include start-up or consulting.

Any advice for a 3rd year risk assurance associate looking to break into a consulting role? I feel like I don’t quite have the tech experience (knowledge of SQL, Java, etc. ) and i don’t quite have the accounting knowledge being that we’re in IT. . Anyone make the switch ?
