Start looking for a new job and I'm sorry
My advice for anyone on a PIP is to work out loud. Ramp up your communication and be extremely proactive.
Looking for a job is a good idea but it would be ideal to save the one you’ve got to help you bridge the gap.
Early in my career I was put on a PIP because one of my goals was tied to a client project that was canceled (completely out of my control and I nailed the project I was assigned to instead). Still, I was held reasonable for not meeting my all goals.
I beat the PIP and left shortly after for a promotion and a big raise. You got this!
Look for another job. Work on the pip at the dawn time. Even if you survive the pip the point is they don’t want you there.
It’s been my main priority since then. I’ve even scheduled calls and interviews during the work hours.
Both can be true
A client not complaining or liking your team doesn’t mean they were happy with the work. You’d still have them if the were. You’re definitely being let go because the agency lost the client, probably not for performance. However, everyone on that team may be let go for “performance” because the client left, thus the team didn’t perform.
At least you got put on a pip, some of us just get fired on the spot 😂😭
