I'm a computer science engineer, working in the Pharmaceutical RWE domain for 2 years.
Even though I like the impact that my job creates, I often find myself wondering if I can actually get to a high position (e.g. CEO, Director of DS dept.) for a pharmaceutical company being from a technical background.

Coming out of UG, I accepted my first job b/c I thought I had to based on status of other interviews. I ended up quitting after 8 weeks in favor of an opportunity I perceived to be better, but took longer to get. 7 months into the new gig, I am NOT happy. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal?
