Hopefully everyone is having a great weekend!! I want to ask did anyone ever think about going into Logistics/Supply Chain when they were younger? For me, I started off as a temp in the industry over a decade ago and I’m still going strong!!

Hey there OP, hopt that you are having a great weekend. I definitely did not think this would be the industry that I would end up in and it really kind of happened by accident I actually thought I was going to go to law school and be a lawyer when I grew up and look at me now haha.

Oh wow! From law school to being in logistics? What a drastic change!!

Happy weekend! No, I'm pretty sure I never thought about this job when I was a kid. Though I had relatives who worked in the trucking business, so I was aware that things had to move around. But I think as a kid I saw myself more as being a truck driver or a professional baseball player or the guy who managed the local video store and got to see everything first. I guess things worked out okay!

I gotcha! Thanks for the feedback! Quick question, what baseball team do you root for now?

Ironically when I was a kid I was obsessed with semi trucks. After High School I went to school for advertising and design. I now work at a trucking company and have been in logistics/trucking for 15 years. didn't plan to be here at all. Currently looking for new employment and hoping to get more in to project management or something similar because logistics and project management go very well together. If I could go back in time I would have become an airline pilot. I supposed I still could but it's hard to stomach $100k + and the time involved to make it happen when I have a family and a dual income household.

An airline pilot is awesome! Thanks for the feedback!

I am a 2nd year associate at a plaintiff’s firm specializing in toxic tort cases (individual). I’ve had the opportunity to be third chair on a trial, and will likely be second chair in an upcoming trial. However, given the track record of the firm and the amount of money at stake in each case, I am afraid I won’t get any first chair experience, if any, for at least another 5-7 years. I am considering staying at the firm but trying to get trial experience through side Pro Bono work. Thoughts?
