I tried to get on anti-depressants in college. The doctor at student health said I wasn’t depressed enough, too high functioning, well-adjusted, etc. I didn’t want to argue, I was afraid of coming off as “drug seeking”. It’s been a few years and it’s gotten worse. I don’t enjoy the things I used to love, I don’t want to do anything other than sleep, I’m struggling with an eating disorder, work feels like torture. I’m terrified of going back to a doctor and either hearing the same thing or having it go the other way and get put in some kind of in-patient program. How do you do this?
