How do I make sure to look interested and engaged in zoom calls? I just joined a new team that requires cameras on and my Manager said I seemed distracted. Because my eyes are moving, but I’m just taking notes on the side or organizing my thoughts. I’m super bored too but now I have to figure out how to look interested.

Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. How do you handle a subordinate that goes around your decision making and goes higher up in the food chain?
