How do you deal with feeling too ‘slow’ for your job?
I have adhd which results in me having even worse imposter syndrome than others. I didn’t always do the best in school until I started getting medicated. Therefore, I have pretty bad self esteem. I’m always feeling like I’m learning things too slow at work. I also overthink every move I make so I take forever. Is this job just not meant for someone like me? On the plus side, I’m really good at concepting. But for everyday tasks, not so much.

Hi, I am currently interviewing for the abuse analyst role in a Trust and Safety team at Google. I have had 3 rounds done and a 4th (RRK) is scheduled. I'm not sure if the previous rounds were entirely RRK/GCA/Leadership as questions asked were mixed. I have been conveyed though that my feedback so far, is pretty neutral / avg hence a 4th round which will be entirely RRK.

So, my question to y'all:
For an analyst role, what's the best way to prep for RRK? Is live coding in SQL asked?

My five year old girl keeps getting touched by the kindergarten boys on her bus. All the kindergarteners sit in the front section of the bus. Why is that you see people rise in the profession of teaching who prosper to Principals. Is it What they Know? or Who they Know? with a Masters and with Honors my district has never even considered my Principalship even though I completed all the requirements. The rule: Principal recommendation- I will never see a Leadership role. This is due to my role as a Lead for the Union. Not Fair - Teachers for Teachers - turned bad for future roles.

The product was not ready to really hire and mentor someone with entry level experience, and due to that my role has been eliminated with my las day being May 6th. Curious what others are responsible for when it comes to design (specifically those of you who have a FT designer). Writing callout boxes, pull quotes, etc. is part of the job. copywriters: do you have a creative cloud license on your work computer?

Been one of the only writers at my digital shop for two years. Busted my ass since I started and was finally notified of my first raise today...a measly 0.02%.

I realize raises are tough to come by right now, but am I justified in feeling insulted? We have some big clients on our current roster for a relatively small agency, and the best they could do wasn't even a full percentage? Is it even worth it to counteroffer?
