You need templates. Yes
If I've already done the work making these templates I don't think its the end of the world saving some of these things for future use.
Totally fine as long as there's no explicit company policy against this. If you built those roadmaps and have ownership over them, it'd be silly not to make copies to aid you in your future work.
It's definitely my work. Not like I'm taking anything proprietary.
Something I'd suggest would be to start memorializing key information on your own computer, or in your own Google Drive. If you work on something and you think you'll want to remember the process, write it down in a Google Doc in your own drive. So far as copying company computer files, that could perhaps run afoul of your contract, depending on what's covered in it. But at minimum, a copy of anything you prepared that went out for public use, press releases and so on, should be in your personal archive. I would suggest keeping in it your own Google Drive, and periodically backing it up to an external hard drive.
Probably smart. And I guess good knowing you never know if you'll be laid off. Better to save and memorialize stuff now than be caught off guard.
I keep copies of literally everything. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. Just rebrand it and go.
exactly how I feel. I can't say I have copies of all my files, but definitely the ones I use frequently.
I should probably take some time and save down a few additional ones and freshen up my archive.
