Having someone appreciate your work always makes it better as well. If you have someone you can cook for then try to make something new for the both of you. Seeing their reaction usually makes it motivating to keep cooking and trying more things. Although if that's not for you then meal prep is the way to go
I love cooking its fun
I like to make the public happy by taking care of their needs learning good customer service

Definitely feel that way too. Honestly for me I have to try to make it an activity. Like trying something new for something I’ve always done one particular way. For example, trying to see how x thing would turn out if I put it into an air fryer instead
If you have a family to serve whatever you prepared, it gives a sense of fulfillment to be able to nourish them. I agree with what Pharma1 said - the reaction motivates you. Also if you are a foodie yourself, it brings satiation. Easy happy hormone trigger.
For me
90% of cooking is a chore and is essentially “refuel/nutrition” and I do everything to simplify and “standardize” to make it simple and least work possible. Many basic meals on repeat for most nights and breakfast/lunch. Meal prep etc.
10% is “fun” cooking. experimenting with something new or fancy for a special occasion or just for me.
Separate the two is really key. It’s two totally different things.
