The events of October 7th and the ensuing conversations have awakened a renewed sense of pride in many Jewish people. Our community is inherently kind and peaceful, tasked with being a light to others. While we’re not all perfect, the core principles of our religion, our relationship with God - father and creator of this world, our soul (neshama), and millennia of community are being recognized as essential values. Many are realizing the importance of these elements for themselves and their children.
It's amazing to be Jewish. I am religious today but only because I had a strange journey getting here. So I mean it when I say, Im very grateful and proud to be a Jew.
