How hard is it to get a business loan to buy property? Trying to buy a building through a business and not sure how much I can reasonably get. Business is not some shell or anything. Own a business that is a current tenant in the building.

We can’t really help you here without more info. There are a million different factors that go into this and you have us none of them.

Are you securing the loan personally? Does your business have assets to use as collateral? Do you have several years of positive reported income? You’ll need to talk to a lender

like

Honestly, probably not. Business loans are more scrutinized than personal loans, because there is less recourse if your business evaporates.

Tomorrow is a big day for me!
Made a written offer on an apartment on Sunday. Owner‘s starting price was 500k. My offer is 450k. He thanked me and we are meeting this weekend to „negotiate“. Tips?

How does a consultant or associate director/above in industry manage their properties if they are always in meetings ~7-8 hours per day? Eg does one call contractors after work hours? Does one hire an individual property manager to take care of a few properties? Does one hire a property management firm?

I imagine one can still self manage as long as you have initially found the go-to people for your maintenance/fixes (eg plumber, electrician), then can quickly text them for appointments

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

I’ve got a partnership w/ two of my uncles. We have two houses on rent. we use the profit from the homes as a single pot where we pay for the maintenance expenses (different cash flow from each). We are close family and they trust my judgement. Another of my uncles wants to join for the next home we buy. How do we split/ allow their buy in to our partnership for the next home? I don’t wanna add extra accounting of maintaining expense/cash flow from the next one we buy as a larger group Thoughts?
