Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

I think it's strange to admit, but meditation and yoga helped me tremendously after spending months in depression due to stress and anxiety.
I want to second this. Mindfulness practice go a long way in boosting your mental health and overall clarity
I make a visit to the therapist whenever I get a chance. It's nice to give yourself the space to let out what's in your head and have an honest conversation
Staying in contact with friends and family does a tremendous job of lifting my spirits and keeping my mental health in check
My best advice is to throw yourself completely into the job you're doing, and understand that you are just one tiny part in a greater machine... but if that part stops functioning, the entire process will fall apart. It's also a hidden blessing that you have to live and work with the same people day in and day out. Really makes you learn how to get along with people on a deeper level, and then it's just like you're working with your friends.
I try and remember that every day is just that: one day. When you focus on doing your best in that very moment, it makes things easier to bear. If you spend all your time thinking about how long it is until you can get out then you will just make yourself miserable and it can get very depressing. Believe me, I know. So I try not to worry too much about things that I can't affect right now
It's the hardest thing I've ever done but I just try to hold onto my faith, and rely upon the truth that "this too shall pass." This won't always be my life. And when I think about the struggles everyone faces in their lives, serving our country is a positive thing but it's nowhere near the sacrifices better men than me have made. So for now I'm just doing what I have to do, making my contribution. And trying to remember that there will still be life after I come home.
