Almost every night.
At least 7
Every night. If I got more work to do, I’ll log back in around 9pm
I aim for every night, but if urgent, I’ll miss dinner one night a week (but always make bedtime).
Every night - I don’t care what’s going on at work, for that one hour I’m not available. That hour belongs to my wife and my kids and myself
Pro
Almost every night, but I always make bedtime. The reasons I miss dinner time are not work related. I’m involved with a community organization and we have board meetings in the evenings once a month. I’m also on a city committee and we have a once a month evening meeting as well.
Every night
I’m with you in the spirit of this question. I have to ask myself every night if I should do the other tasks I have instead; both work and home oriented. While they’re as young as they are, I just want to be engaged with them when I can. They get me untethered for 2-3 hours every night. After they hit the bed, I’m back at it. As a kid who lost his dad early, the work is always there, but I may not be so I’ll guarantee them that piece of me until I’m not anymore.
I hit 3 nights a week during the workweek and then both weekend nights if we don’t go out and leave the kids with a sitter (which we do a couple times a month). On the days I miss dinner, it’s because I have overseas client calls, but I start my day late on those days and get to hang with the kids in the morning instead.
7. WFH.
Every couple of months I might have to miss one for work.
Every night. We are not in the business of saving lives, and neither should we pretend we do that. Most things can wait for a bit.
Every night.
Wow amazed at this. Honestly we hardly have dinner. The kids usually eat around 5 and wife and I will either be out somewhere together or doing our own thing. We do try to be back by 7 for tv or game night together and bedtime chats. I skip dinner a few nights a week due to my fasting plan. Maybe we get one day a week on the weekends ?
I try to eat with them every night, and breakfasts at least twice a week!
