Total I’m well over ten years
I’ve also been in industry for a time.
Yes
I recently left to industry after 10 years in consulting. I knew I didn't plan on pursuing partner track, but I stayed because I liked the work experience and was waiting to find the right exit.
20 years consulting, about 5 independent. Industry for 5 years or so? Zero desire to go back to industry. I like consulting because of the diversity - there's always an end date you work towards. 👋🏻
I’m going to break ten years in a few weeks and I still like it. I’m a programmer and have been fortunate enough to carve out my own little “lead/contribute” niche. I get tapped on the shoulder for the “oh sht” kind of stuff, firefighting.
I enjoy programming a lot and consulting is a great way to keep it fresh.
15 years. Made jump to industry. Never looking back.
8 years and then quit at the right moment. Never heading back.
12 years in.. looking to go back to industry. Had 9 years in industry before joining consulting.
20 years, found my niche/rhythm, no plans to leave
25 years in consulting. Love the latest technology, being on the edge and the variety of projects with many sectors. Can not imagine Industry job with politics more than few years.
