How many of your firms pay trial win bonuses to 2nd chair associates? I 2nd chaired two big med mal wins last year, and gained great experience - a first for me being on a win, but no discussion yet on any bonuses. Is that typical?

I think that is pretty typical. I can't speak for every firm but my firm doesn't pay out bonuses to second chair associateds for trial wins.

I started working as a consultant with EY 8 months ago. Even though I'm content and learning a lot there, I think there are places where I might easily earn more money. I received a job offer last week from Alvarez & Marsal to work as a consultant at the Transaction Advisory Department (financial due diligence team), where I will be paid more fairly (salary & bonus). Should I accept it? Or would leaving EY that early not be wise?
