That’s well more than enough. It’s 5x the average household income in Houston.
Are you flexing, looking for affirmation, or really just clueless?
Showing off. Stupid question
“Good” is pretty subjective. But family of three i personally would aim for 400k to live comfortably
A1 that’s well above comfortable.
Your preferences/lifestyle is a huge factor.
It will also largely depend on if you want to be a city family or a surburb family. And whether you’re strongly considering public or private school. But $300k is pretty comfortable!!!
That's solid income for living comfortably in one the many Houston suburbs (Spring, Katy, Cypress, Pearland, Sugarland, etc). However, that income won't go very far if you expect to live in a traditional single family home (non-townhouse) in the loop with access to good public schools. Current real estate prices are insane. Pre-COVID, Houston was significantly more affordable.
Native Houstonian here. You will live very comfortably on that salary. In fact, you’d live like a king/queen. To be more specific, you have the capacity to buy a single family home in just about every neighborhood in town with the possible exception of West U / River Oaks.
