Pros/cons to paying points to lower my interest rate? I'm trying to decide if I should stick with 2.75% rate with no points paid, or pay $3,000 to lower rate to 2%. 15 yr fixed refinance, $103k amount.

IBD says Trump now leads by eleven among seniors—a marked shift from earlier polls—while Biden’s support among black voters appeared to drop 10 points overnight. Biden is running nearly six points shy of Hillary’s 85-point black vote gap.

Is csr giving anything back to us? I got $100 back but with being locked inside im not buying any travel or restaurants therefore losing lot of potential points
Switched from Uber to Lyft for the points, but I’m tempted to switch back. Is Lyft’s algorithm worse? It always takes my driver 2-3x the time shown to arrive. I’m often dropped off in the wrong place

I created a bowl for people interested in Paid Social Media.
Whoever is interested, I'm waiting for you to talk in here.
This may be a dumb question but I really need some clarity here. I bought 12/4 28P on JWN, and I figured they were just going to expire worthless. I got a notification from schwab that due to the fact that is it at or near the money, I have to make sure I have the equity to be assigned or execute the contract. This is just cautionary, I can’t be forced to exercise, right?
Is strategy and operations new verticals work at DoorDash a good stepping stone to break into product management at a bigger tech firm?

Hello Fishes, I have received the below test for Uber. What should I be expecting from the test and what questions should I prepare for beforehand?
I did not get a full time offer from my internship this past summer at a top consulting firm they told me on the second to last day. I have been trying to recruit at other consulting firms however haven’t received any offers yet. I struggle with severe depression and anxiety and often struggle with telling others when I struggle with it. I am having thoughts of ending it all because of the combined stress of school and now recruiting with little opportunities left.
Anyone travelled thru Gulf air from India… how was the experience? Looking for economical options from Delhi to Chicago and Gulf air is coming up with the lowest price.
I have been offered a job at KPMG within cyber security in the uk. Originally it was a 25% hike offer. Now I have received a 8% hike at Deloitte as part of the current performance cycle along with a 5k bonus (great incentives every year) The only thing is KPMG is offering this in a @kpmg regional location where I’m based plus the disadvantage is I need to pay 2500£ for my dependent visa costs which I can save if I continued with Deloitte. Seen Lot of negative comments about KPMG. Any thoughts ?

Hi life sciences 🐟, I am curious to hear your thoughts on Rep. Katie Porter, who grills pharma CEOs on their decision making in congress and highlights the unethical nature of this industry. Interested to hear what you make of her claims, and does this effect how you feel working for big pharma companies? [Example video included, recommend the watch] https://youtu.be/arduwbwYB_w
My firm has offered me to take up a project in Canada for few months. I have option to say NO but thinking of spending 1 year so that I can become eligible for EB1. I am H1b. Is it worth pursuing...
As I am moving up the ladder, I am finding my executive functioning skills are not able to keep up. I struggle to take initiative, organize and complete non project work— BD, training or even connecting with my sponsor partner. I procrastinate & then it is too late. It has gotten worse after becoming a mom. I felt I had to work incredibly hard for my SM promotion compared to my peers. How do you all cope with this? Or is it time to quit consulting?
Please help me to choose between PWC SDC Bangalore & Deloitte USI for a Guidewire BA role. Share your experience about learning, opportunities, WLB etc.

Any attorneys here with ADHD/ADD? I was recently diagnosed ADHD, but it was clear I had it my whole life. It did not materially hinder me until law school, and now it’s pretty debilitating as an associate. Since I have been medicated, some executive functioning has been better but it’s really hit or miss. Anyone have any success stories? Would in-house be easier to manage as there is less executive functioning (ie no timekeeping and billing)? I appreciate any response in advance. Thanks!
I’m a new third year associate working at a satellite office of a midsize firm. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to truly get good at my job or the multiple areas of law I’m asked to practice. What are some things you’ve done to gain confidence in your practice area?
HELP! I’ve been contacted by a small private security firm who wants me to be their “on call” counsel. They describe it as a lot of contract review, drafting NDAs, etc. but also being there if/when they need to license a vehicle, defend civil suit, etc. It’s overwhelming but sounds like a really great opportunity. I have enough background to be comfortable with contracts and litigation, but don’t want to get myself into a mess. Has anybody else ever had a job like this?
I’m a third-year associate licensed in 3 states and adding FL soon. Practice Family law 100% but really wanting to branch into general civil litigation in FL. Does anyone have tips on how to switch fields, especially out of Family? Things I should try to advertise about myself more than others? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Newly minted attorney (licensed in May) having terrible with luck job hunting.
I’ve been desperately hunting for a first year associate position in Chicago since July. I’ve had a number of interviews that seemed to go well, but only one offer (which turned out not to be a firm I would be able to work for) came out of about a dozen interviews. I can’t figure out if the market is rough now or I’m doing something wrong in my interviews.
I’ve been negotiating a settlement on behalf of a client. OP is a major corp. we’ve gone back and forth for months, almost a year. Finally came to a final agreement and we’re reviewing for final signature. Then client is reviewing and decides they want something else modified. It’s a point of contention. OP has said no. Should I communicate this to client before pushing back against OP’s rejection of the mod?
Mexican attorney here - I am currently researching LLM programs (specifically M&A) and somehow paying USD$200K to study in the US doesn’t seem too appealing.
I hold a Spanish passport which may help with tuition fees in European Universities - do you recommend any European LLM programs or should I just bite the bullet and ask for a loan and pay the USD$150 - 200K?
Mentioning the programs is greatly appreciated.
I am coming to the realization that being a lawyer is not for me. I’m in my third year practicing and also have a MBA (I was in the JD/MBA dual degree program). Does anyone have any suggestions on jobs that are good for former attorneys? Thanks for any advice!
Working in a coffee shop where manager went on screaming tirade against employees. Used to have boss like that. So grateful I don't anymore. Couldn't pay me enough to be emotional punching bag long term
How do we work to dispel the myth that millenials are nothing but oversensitive entitled brats?
Anyone transferred their UBE score to NY? Is it as much of a pain in the ass as it seems?
Curious. With the new class of first year associates starting, do you have any interesting thoughts/observations/perspectives on “Gen Z” lawyers?
Not sure if this has been asked before but what are your billable expectations, what year are you, and what size firm are you at?
I have been lurking on fishbowl for a bit and it seems that my billable expectations at my small firm are too high (1850). I don’t hit them but neither does anyone else including senior associates / partners. Anyways, my boss is using that as an excuse to not give me a raise - so any insight you could provide would be helpful!
Just responded to a recruiter who cold emailed about a position with all the prototypical “reasonable annual billables, collegiate culture etc etc” and said:
“I’m not currently interested in any positions that have a billable hour requirement” because that is absolutely my mood going forward.
I work in a midsize firm and we have the basic subscription to westlaw, which doesn’t include the ability to see filed briefs, motions, etc without incurring additional costs. I’m wondering if there is a service in the NJ/PA area that gives you access to previously filed motions and briefs? So if I’m drafting a summary judgment I could search the service and find a similar one. If this doesn’t exist.. I think I found the next million dollar idea lol
Anyone else feeling the whiplash of following supreme court drama and then going to work the next day pretending like half your rights aren't up for debate?
Setting aside dry January (for those who partake), how many days per week do you consume alcohol? What day (before today) was the last day you consumed zero alcohol? For those working from home, what is the earliest you have started drinking on a work day? (Any difference on Fridays?)
