How much does it take for you to fire a client? I haven't done it in my two years of solo practice so far but I'm reaching my breaking point with one woman who is also now being disrespectful towards my paralegal.

I work as outside General Counsel to small firms - if you’re asking the question you’re at the point. Eject ASAP - bad clients only get worse!

I write them letters and make them apologize to my staff. If the case is worth a lot of money, it is worth taking the time to document and communicate with your client.

I fired one a few weeks ago and I might need to fire one end of this month. If a couple calls and emails/letters doesn't correct the behavior than they need to go.

When I am thinking about it in my off time, or when my husband sees that my mind drifted mid convo on a weekend because I’m suddenly obsessing over that particular client, and I’m so stressed out from that client that it is impacting me at all hours of the day and night, preventing me from sleeping well or connecting with my family, that’s when I drop them. I just did it for the first time last month and it was a great decision. My quality of life improved instantly as a result.

I told her she needs a more aggressive attorney since the case took a turn. I also said that this looks like it will head towards a trial and I won’t be available in the upcoming months for that trial; so it is best if she has an attorney who will know the case front and back rather than me bringing in outside counsel. She agreed. I found a new attorney for her. She liked them and retained them within a week of our conversation.

Disrespecting our staff is where the line is drawn, if the case is seven figures I’ll have a serious conversation with the Client : 1 on 1

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.

I am a woman who has been working as a tech PE investor for 8 months now, and have been feeling extremely discouraged by my experiences in this sector so far. How to deal with people flirting with you at work.
I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go? It is mostly just odd I’m not super offended, but I’m also clearly uninterested!

I've been thinking about my career a lot lately. I feel like I've hit a wall, and I don't know how to get past it.

I've been at this job for almost 5 years now, and ever since the day I started, there have been problems with my coworkers. It's not just one person—it's everyone in my department, and they all seem to be working against each other instead of together. Should I leave?

Anyone know a Connecticut or 2nd circuit case for this rule? I can’t find one to save my life. A defendant generally is liable for all harmful results that are the normal incidents of and within the increased risk caused by their negligent acts. If a defendant's negligence was a substantial factor in producing the plaintiff's injuries, the element of proximate cause has been satisfied and the defendant would not be relieved from liability for those injuries even though another force concurred..
