Finding $20 in the dryer does it for me.
Depends. Kids or no kids? When the wife and I cleared 120k with no kids we could do whatever we wanted whenever we wanted without ever thinking about money.
Now I've got two kids in day care and a mortgage and we're making about 260k as a household and we have very little dispensible income (still saving decently though!). We've cut back on a lot of expenses.
Found a $20 bill in my winter spring jacket which I haven’t worn since last year / made it!
I’m at $300k annually and my husband is at $450k and we still feel like we haven’t “made it”…we are also living in Boston which is stupidly expensive :(

Ive been able to buy anything I wanted since cracking $80k without having to stress about money.
When you can fly first class in Emirates 😁
I make 135k, single 33M, and I do quarterly trips to Europe without a second thought. I lease a nice 2025 car under $600 a month that perfectly serves my needs and I belong to a tennis club and play whenever I want. I don’t think about court time costs. And I still max out my retirement accounts with savings left over. I definitely want to switch jobs but for career aspiration purposes. More money would be great too, but for speeding up savings. Not for lifestyle creep.
About $30K more than I currently make at any given time
