How much of your energy does your job take from you. Ironically I find that sometimes the days I am at the desk all day are more exhausting than days I am doing physical work.
But then some days the work is so physical l wish I was at my desk. Is your job exhausting, physical, or just mentally draining? How tired does your work make you?

It’s absolutely not. At the same time it should not create undue stress (acknowledging stress for one individual isn’t the same for another).

I get that. Standing in front of a cash register for hours is hard on my feet and knees. People aren't made to be stationary for long periods. Plus time passes much slower. I think the concentration factor plays into it. Doing things like picking things up and stacking/walking etc. becomes second nature at a very young age, so there is much less "paying attention".

I absolutely agree. The best days for me are ones full of variety.

If there is a case that we have to quarantine again. Do you all think it is possible for store associates to work remotely? If so, what are some ways this could work? I fear another pandemic or outbreak and so many people being out of work again. I can't even fathom those that had jobs in retail that had little to no choice to not be remote.

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.
