An agency I freelance for wants to hire me full-time. They told me for a Sr Copywriter, 100-110k. I countered with 125-150.

I also said I'm interested in a higher-level title - I currently freelance as a Creative Director of Copy elsewhere (they don't have that title at this agency.)

They came back and said yes to the title and to 125, with a 6 month review that could raise it to 145.

Which is good for Sr Copy, but low for CD/ACD level. Don't want to screw myself over. What to say now?

I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. I head a team and they seem to be happy… but I’m also personally not satisfied what we’re delivering is enough… so I have this weird mixed feeling of the stuff we’re doing not really being that stretching, but at the same time I feel out of my depth. I have an offer from Wipro for 12L as CTC plus 1L as bonus which will be added post a year to the CTC.

HCL(Working here from last 7 yrs) has a counter offer of 14Lak where in 1.2L is technical bonus which gets added to CTC post a year. They were giving a sum around, 4L as project allowance within this 14L, which i didnt agree so they are looking into it to alter and give 12.8L in CTC.

I have 7 yrs of exp. I am finding it difficult to make a decision. Guidence will be helpful.

Companies lowball and keep employees with nearly 10% hike.
Same company will hire a new employee with 40-60% or more hike.

To me it appears like companiss themselves are forcing ppl to switch and not to stay.
